Our Process for Jewelry

Step 1: Confirm Metal
We look to see if the item contains gold or silver. This often involves a simple chemical test.

Step 2: Grading
We determine what percentage of the jewelry is gold/silver. We’ll look for a stamp that gives an indication (e.g. 18 karat or 24K). The higher the karat, the higher the amount of gold/silver in the piece.

Step 3: Valuation
Finally, we weigh it. Weight x % = amount of gold/silver in the jewelry. Once we know the quantity, we can use the spot price to determine the valuation.
Our Process for Coins
John is a longtime member of the Victoria Numismatic Society and takes pride in giving fair market value for any coins of collector or numismatic worth, and you will be additionally compensated. Coins are also examined based on grade, condition and rarity.
